From an early age I considered art to be a lifestyle, a worldview guided by a heightened sensitivity. My artistic journey has been influenced by my personal experiences and observations. In my early years, I ventured in decorative art, although it is considered as being a more commercial type of work, it allowed me to develop my style and experiment on different canvases.

My artistic style started with a personal interpretation of light and colour. I called it luminescence, with each light representing a musical note to create a jazz composition. I’ve always admired how culturally significant and instrumental jazz has been in overcoming hardships and oppression. This musical style played a significant role in my life, which is why I have incorporated it in many of my paintings to express my emotions.

I then experimented with Symbolic surrealism, which allowed me to tackle themes related to war, injustice and suffering. From there, I developed a more daring and provocative alter ego called Mister Fucking, where I integrate more elements of pop art to showcase my observations of humankind and absurdity.

TECHNIQUES

The pieces in my Luminescence collection are either oil paintings or a combination of oil and acrylic which are then airbrushed. In my latest collection for Mister Fucking, I use similar techniques incorporated with digital art. Each artwork in this collection has one oil painting, 1 to 10 original artworks with mixed techniques (according to the request), and 30 aluminum digital prints.
